Sohel Ahmed

Mr. Sohel Ahmed is a development and energy sector professional with over a decade of experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change, and sustainable development. He serves as Chief Executive of the Bangladesh National Chapter of WePOWER, a World Bank-supported initiative, and Managing Partner of Development Professional Partners (DevPro Partners), a consultancy specializing in energy, environment, climate change, and sustainable development. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member at AIUB.
Previously, he served as Managing Director of Grameen Shakti, leading rural energy access programs and major international development initiatives. His expertise spans project development, impact assessment, investment planning, and policy advocacy, with experience working alongside the United Nations, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank.
